Beerita.id – Satu dekade sudah perjalanan kompetisi kewirausahaan Diplomat Success Challenge. Jika di tahun pertama hanya ada 600 proposal bisnis, di tahun ke 10 ini, lebih dari 12.500 proposal yang masuk. Tahun ini, ajang yang digagas Wismilak Foundation itu lebih akrab disebut DSCX.
Ajang Diplomat Success Challenge yang terbukti berhasil meraih antusiasme tinggi kepesertaan dari para wirausahawan muda nasional sejak dibuka pendaftarannya secara daring pada 15 Mei lalu ini akan membawa 750 proposal & peserta terpilih untuk melakukan audisi tatap muka dan presentasi ide bisnis di lima kota.
Regional Selection yang digelar mulai dari pertengahan September hingga awal Oktober ini merupakan sebuah fase untuk menyaring para peserta DSC|X yang berhasil lolos proposal dan berada di wilayah terdekat dari 5 kota penyelenggaraan yang dipilih. Para peserta akan menyampaikan presentasi singkat 10-15 menit dihadapan Dewan Juri. 100 peserta terbaik dipilih dan berhak melanjutkan kompetisi ke babak selanjutnya, National Selection di Jakarta dan Surabaya.
Penggagas DSC|X sekaligus Marketing Community & Event Manager Wismilak, Edric Chandra menyampaikan, “Inilah wujud 10 tahun komitmen kuat kami untuk turut serta mendukung dan memperkuat ekosistem wirausaha Indonesia. Jumlah keseluruhan proposal yang diterima adalah yang terbanyak sepanjang penyelenggaraan, tidak hanya untuk ajang DSC sendiri, namun tampaknya juga untuk program kompetisi kewirausahaan serupa. Bahkan dibandingkan dengan penerimaan proposal di penyelenggaraan DSC tahun 2017 dan 2018, tahun ini penerimaannya meningkat 100%! Tantangan dari kami terjawab, bahwa ternyata kaum Millenial Indonesia dan Entrepreneur Indonesia mampu #BikinGebrakan dalam perhelatan akbar DSC|X ini,” katanya.
Lebih jauh Edric menjelaskan bahwa dari seluruh proposal yang masuk, Dewan Komisioner dan Dewan Juri mengelompokkan ke dalam 7 kategori bisnis yaitu Agrobisnis, Food & Beverage, Kriya & Fashion, Startup Digital, Teknologi Terapan, Services dan kategori lain-lain.
Dominasi kaum milenial dalam ajang ini begitu kuat dimana sekitar 80% peserta berasal dari rentang umur 20 – 35 tahun, sementara asal peserta masih didominasi oleh Pulau Jawa dan Sumatera dimana prosentasenya hingga 90%. Sekitar 9% peserta dibawah 20 tahun dan 3,9% peserta diatas umur 40 tahun terhitung ikut berpartisipasi. Kategori Startup Digital dan Teknologi mengalami peningkatan dimana tahun ini DSC menerima lebih dari 10% dari total proposal yang masuk.
”Saya kira kenyataan ini menunjukkan bahwa peran menyeluruh dan strategis ajang DSC|X begitu penting dan dibutuhkan oleh para wirausahawan muda dimana mereka tidak hanya membutuhkan hibah permodalan, namun melampaui itu, ajang DSC memberikan edukasi, bimbingan dan pendampingan serta bahkan kesempatan baik untuk berjejaring dan berkolaborasi dengan sesama peserta,” kata dia.
Setelah rangkaian roadshow, ajang DSC|X yang penyelenggaraannya berkolaborasi bersama Coworking Indonesia sebagai Strategic Partner, akan memasuki tahap Regional Selection pada September-Oktober yang dihelat di 5 kota besar. Ajang DSC|X di sepanjang bulan Agustus menghelat Campus Roadshow, sebuah upaya sosialisasi event ini di kampus-kampus di 9 kota, yaitu; Surabaya, Malang, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Bandung, Medan, Makassar, Bali dan Jakarta.
Lepas dari babak Regional Selection, 100 proposal terbaik akan kembali diuji di babak National Selection yang dilaksanakan di Jakarta dan Surabaya di awal hingga pertengahan Oktober. 20 Finalis yang dihasilkan dalam babak tersebut berhak maju dan mempersiapkan dirinya di ajang Incubation Session di Jakarta pada akhir Oktober sebelum tampil di Final Day yang akan digelar di De Tjolomadoe, Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah pada 16-17 November mendatang. Incubation Session sendiri adalah sebuah fase pembekalan pengetahuan dan pendalaman kepada peserta terpilih yang lolos dari National Selection.
