Beerita.id – Kelangkaan gula pasir terjadi di sejumlah daerah dalam beberapa pekan terakhir. Kebutuhan utama di rumah tangga tersebut mulai langka terlihat di sejumlah supermarket kawasan Surabaya dan Sidoarjo.
Gula pasir yang biasanya melimpah dengan berbagai merek, kini kosong melompong.
Menurut Navi, salah satu petugas supermarket di Surabaya , sebulanan ini gula pasir mulai langka. Kalaupun ada, langsung diserbu konsumen. “Sudah sebulan sih gulanya kosong. Padahal banyak yang cari. Kalau datang langsung habis dibeli orang,”.
Ditanya apakah karena terjadi aksi borong, perempuan berhijab ini mengatakan tidak. Sebab, ada pembatasan pembelian maksimal empat kilogram.
“Enggak juga, kan dibatasi empat saja. Memang pasokan gulanya kurang sudah sebulan ini,” ucapnya.
Hal sama terpantau di Supermarket berbasis besar juga mengalami hal yang sama.
“Banyak konsumen cari cuma barangnya kurang makanya kosong terus. Setiap barang masuk langsung habis karena terbatas jumlahnya,” ujar salah satu petugas Transmart yang enggan disebutkan namanya.
Kelangkaan gula pasir ini sangat disayangkan masyarakat. Pasalnya, sebulan lagi umat muslim akan menjalani ibadah puasa sehingga butuh sekali gula pasir.
“Mudah-mudahan ini bukan karena sengaja ditahan pasokannya untuk raih untung gede saja. Virus Corona dan jelang puasa memantik konsumen untuk menyetok sembako karena takut kurang. Pemerintah harus segera antisipasi jangan sampai terjadi kelangkaan dan akhirnya harga naik gila-gilaan,” ungkap Galuh, warga Pakis Surabaya, yang sulit mendapatkan gula pasir.
Direktur Jenderal Perdagangan Dalam Negeri Kementerian Perdagangan Suhanto beberapa waktu lalu mengatakan, minimnya stok di pasaran menyebabkan harga gula pasir mulai naik.
Dia menduga, sejumlah pihak sengaja menahan pasokan lantaran khawatir tak mendapatkan jatah gula impor akibat meluasnya wabah virus corona di sejumlah negara. (Bee4)
