Sambut Kemerdekaan, Pasar Atom Bagikan 2001 Paket Sembako
Ada yang berbeda dari prosesi Upacara Bendera dalam rangka HUT RI di Pasar Atom Surabaya. Jika biasanya upacara diikuti ribuan masyarakat umum, kini hanya diadakan secara internal dengan jumlah peserta ratusan orang.
Tetapi, kegiatan setelah upacara, yakni bagi-bagi sembako untuk masyarakat tidak mampu dibuat lebih besar. Menurut Direktur Utama Pasar Atom, Mayjend TNI (Mar) Purn Halim Antawira Hermanto, kegiatan itu untuk menyasar manfaat yang lebih besar lagi.

“Kalau tahun sebelumnya, kita menyiapkan paket sembako sekitar 500an, tapi sekarang dilipat gandakan menjadi 2001 paket,” katanya.
Halim berharap dengan banyaknya paket sembako yang dibagi, manfaat yang dirasakan masyarakat bisa lebih menyebar.
Satu paket sembako, ujar Purnawirawan TNI dengan bintang dua di pundak itu, berisikan 8 kilogram beras, dua kg gula, dua liter minyak, dan 10 bungkus mie instan.
Penerima bantuan berasal dari banyak pihak, mulai paguyuban tukang becak, yayasan yatim piatu, pemulung, loper koran, hingga pengamen dan pengemis.
Sementara itu jalannya upacara yang dimulai tepat pukul 06.50 berlangsung khidmat. Dalam sambutannya, Halim menegaskan pentingnya menjaga persatuan dan kesatuan. “Kemerdekaan yang diraih Indonesia diperjuangkan oleh banyak pihak. Jadi sudah sepatutnya kita menghargai jasa para pahlawan dengan saling menghargai satu sama lain,” katanya.
Halim juga menegaskan, masyarakat harus terus melestarikan nilai luhur Pancasila. Salah satunya adalah gotong royong dan bersikap toleransi.
Supomo, salah satu penerima bantuan mengatakan rasa bahagianya. “Kebetulan beras di rumah sudah habis. Alhamdulillah bisa bawa untuk keluarga,” ujar pria yang berprofesi sebagai tukang becak itu. (Red)
