Menurut Yusuf Wiharto, Direktur Distribusi Viva Cosmetics untuk wilayah Indonesia Timur, pasar luar negeri menyimpan potensi yang bagus. Terlebih produk Viva ternyata juga cocok diaplikasikan di negara- negara tersebut.
“Pengamatan terus kami lakukan untuk mengetahui karakter masyarakat, dan kecocokan dengan produk yang akan dipasarkan,” kata Yusuf saat ditemui usai kembali dari Rusia.
Kehadiran Viva di Rusia juga dalam rangka mensupport Festival Indonesia Moskow yang dihelat KBRI pada awal Agustus lalu.
Dihadiri ribuan orang setiap harinya, festival itu sudah berlangsung selama 4 tahun berturut-turut. Untuk kali ini acara dipusatkan di jantung taman Krasnaya Presnya, Moskow.
Viva mengirimkan Senior Beauty Consultant Tini B. Renan & MUA Sonny Soesanto yang mampu me-make up model hanya dalam waktu 5 menit. Setiap hari selama festival Tini & Sonny mendandani setidaknya 30 model Rusia. Hasil dandanannya tidak main-main. Itu terlihat saat show berlangsung dan hujan turun deras, make up tetap terjaga dan tidak luntur. “Dari situ pujian langsung kami dapatkan, baik dari model maupun pengunjung. Mereka kagum dengan kualitas Viva,” kata Yusuf.
Menurut Yusuf, memasarkan produk ke luar negeri memang butuh penelitian yang mendalam. “Sebab yang dipertaruhkan bukan hanya nama produk, tetapi juga perusahaan dan negara,” katanya.
Bila produk bagus, lanjut ayah satu anak itu, secara otomatis akan mendongkrak nama negara asal perusahaan. “Karena itu kita tidak mau setengah-setengah,” jelas dia.
Pertumbuhan Viva sendiri pada semester pertama tahun ini cukup baik. Dan, usainya pelaksanaan pemilu membuat perusahaan yakin pertumbuhan di semester dua, dan tahun depan akan jauh lebih baik lagi. “InshaAllah target kita bisa mencapai double digit.”
Salah satu cara yang dilakukan untuk mencapai target itu adalah dengan rutin penetrasi pasar dan mengeluarkan produk baru.
