Kedekatan Orang Tua Kunci Putusnya Rantai Kekerasan Pada Anak
Beerita.id – Kasus kekerasan pada anak semakin meningkat tiap tahunnya. Dan, dari total 60 ribuan kasus, 58 persen di antaranya adalah kejahatan seksual. Itu sebabnya, sejak 2013, Indonesia sudah ditetapkan berstatus darurat kejahatan pada anak.
Hal itu yang ditegaskan Ketua Umum Komnas Perlindungan Anak Arist Merdeka Sirait saat mengisi seminar bertajuk Memutus Mata Rantai Kekerasan Pada Anak di Gedung Wanita Kalibokor Surabaya siang (16/5) tadi.
“Tragisnya, kejahatan seksual itu kebanyakan malah dilakukan oleh orang terdekat atau yang dikenal oleh korban,” katanya.
Orang tersebut bisa orang tua kandung, tiri, paman, tetangga, bahkan guru. “Karena itu, anak-anak harus mendapat perlindungan sepenuhnya dari negara,” jelas dia.
Tidak hanya itu saja, Arist yang berbicara di hadapan ratusan Guru PAUD dan SD itu menjelaskan bahwa pergaulan pada anak juga semakin memprihatinkan.
Banyaknya anak yang “ngelem”, merebus pembalut, siswa SD menghamili anak SMA, dan rentetan peristiwa tragis lain menjadi contoh. “Nah disinilah peran orang tua itu berada. Mereka harus bisa menjadi pelindung sekaligus kawan. Jangan hanya bisanya memarahi,” katanya.
Hal yang sama diutarakan oleh Trisulowati. Pemerhati anak itu mengatakan tantangan membesarkan buah hati di era saat ini berbeda dengan jaman dulu. Apalagi bagi keluarga broken home.
Kehadiran orang tua sebagai sahabat mutlak dilakukan. “Sehingga dengan itu, anak-anak tanpa canggung mau curhat dan berbagi cerita pada kita. Bahaya kalau mereka justru lebih percaya pada orang lain. Bisa terjerumus,” ucap perempuan yang akrab disapa Chinchin itu.
Chinchin menjelaskan, bagi dirinya yang menjadi orang tua tunggal, karena bercerai dengan suami, membesarkan anak lebih memiliki nilai tantangan lagi.
Tapi, satu yang harus dicatat adalah, pantang menjelek-jelekkan mantan suami di depan anak-anak. “Karena bagaimanapun juga, dia kan bapaknya anak-anak. Tidak ada namanya bekas anak atau bekas orang tua,” ucapnya bijak.
Karena hal itu pula, berkaca pada kejadian yang menimpa dirinya, Chinchin mengirimkan ketiga buah hatinya untuk sekolah ke luar negeri.
“Karena kalau kita mungkin bisa tidak mengatakan hal buruk tentang mantan pasangan. Tapi kalau tidak sengaja ketemu orang di mal atau yang bertamu ke rumah, kemudian secara spontan mereka mengatakan hal tidak baik tentang ayah mereka kan tidak bisa saya hindarkan. Makanya, walaupun sebagai orang tua berat berpisah dengan anak, dan berat juga menyekolahkan anak di luar negeri, langkah itu tetap saya ambil. Demi kebaikan mereka,” jelas dia.
Chinchin memiliki tip membesarkan anak agar tetap memiliki kedekatan dengan orang tua. Di antaranya adalah selalu dengarkan pendapat dan keluhan anak. Jikapun ada yang tidak disetujui, ungkapkan dengan jelas ketidaksetujuan itu. “Jangan menggunakan bahasa kasar,” tegas dia.
Langkah selanjutnya adalah berikan peringatan sejak dini dan biasakan anak mengambil keputusan sendiri yang bertanggung jawab dengan tetap dalam pemantauan.(Bee3)
