Saya, Pak Dahlan, dan Ramalan Kematian

Suatu hari di awal 2012.

‌Petang itu saya santai sekali. Tiga berita reguler plus satu feature telah selesai saya tulis sebelum adzan magrib berkumandang.

Sudah kebiasaan, saya pasti menulis feature minimal sehari sebelum jadwal tayang, sehingga ketika hari H, tinggal pindahkan ke folder berita Metropolis. Simpel. Itu juga jaga2, kalau saja ada informasi yg miss saya sampaikan di tulisan bisa lgsg menghubungi narsum untuk interview tambahan.

Karena santai itulah, kerjaan saya di kantor hanya celingak celinguk. Website luar yang biasa saya jadikan referensi untuk liputan sudah selesai saya baca. Rencana liputan untuk keesokan hari pun sudah tersusun rapi.

Mau ngajak ngobrol rekan samping meja, sungkan, karena dia masih berjibaku dengan tulisan. Mau pulang cepet, kok ya lagi males.

Karena lagi ndak ada kerjaan itu saya memutuskan untuk pergi ke tempat paling favorit di kantor. Yakni lorong bagian depan kantor, yang biasa saya gunakan untuk sholat bersama kawan2 seperjuangan, Rio, Mas Ulum, Mas Gun dll.

Tempat itu nyempil. Hanya lorong biasa. Namun di tempat itu, saya dan teman2 biasa merangkai mimpi. Misalnya tentang Mas Ulum yang selalu ingin memiliki mobil Fortuner berwarna putih supaya bisa mengajak istri dan anak-anaknya jalan-jalan. Atau tentang Rio yang senantiasa tak pernah pudar cita-citanya jadi seorang musisi.

Kalau saya sendiri, di sana biasanya untuk baca koran. Suasana yang hening itu membuat saya nyaman membaca. Sembari mengecek tulisan saya yang termuat hari itu. Koreksi apa sih yang dilakukan oleh para redaktur.

Kalau sudah di lorong itu, saya bisa menghabiskan waktu berjam-jam. Sesekali ditemani lantunan lagu dari speaker handphone.

Namun langkah saya malam itu ke lorong terhenti.
Baru saja saya mengambil koran jatah di meja Pak Zainal, saya merasa ada yang memanggil dari meja bulat di area redaktur desk nasional bekerja.

“Mas, sini,” ujar suara itu.
Saya menengok ke sumber suara sembari menanyakan, “saya, Pak?” yang dijawab “Iya, Anda!,”

Jantung rasanya mau copot.
Betapa tidak, yang memanggil saat itu adalah Dahlan Iskan. Meneg BUMN yg juga bagi kami adalah Pak Bos.

Bukan saya tidak tahu kalau di meja itu ada Pak Dahlan. Tapi, karena saya sadar diri, siapalah saya. Satu dari beribu atau mgkn ratusan ribu karyawannya.

Jd jangankan menyapa, melihat beliau sedang berbicang dgn redaktur pun rasanya kok ya bukan level saya.

“Siap Pak,” sapa saya tepat di samping beliau. Sembari memegang lengan kanan saya, beliau menanyakan nama.

“Nama yg sesuai dgn orangnya,” jawab Pak Dahlan begitu tahu nama saya.

“Berapa berat badan Anda?” Duh, jantung seperti mau copot untuk kedua kalinya.

Di Jawa Pos, tempat saya bekerja dulu, kesehatan adalah faktor utama penilaian karyawan.

Hal itu pula yg menjadi momok bagi saya yg bertubuh obesitas, meski Alhamdulillah sekali, selama saya bekerja hasil check up selalu bagus dan tidak pernah ijin sakit sehari pun.

“Anda harus kurusin badan ya. Kasihan jantung dan organ tubuh lain. Mereka kerja keras untuk menopang badan Anda yg besar,” nasehat Pak Dahlan yg saya ingat betul saat itu mengenakan kemeja putih berlipat. Pakaian yg kini diadopsi pemerintahan Jkw-Jk.

Tak hanya memberi nasehat, Pak Dahlan yg saat itu ditemani oleh (maaf kalau saya salah) karibnya, langsung menyuruh pria paruh baya itu untuk mengecek kondisi saya. Anggap saja namanya Robert Lai.

“Xiang xiang xiang xiang (mandarin mode on),” ucap Pak Dahlan yg disambut anggukan Lai.

Nggak lama, dengan posisi berdiri Robert Lai memegang lengan kiri saya. Nadi di pergelangan tangan dan siku tak lepas dari pemeriksaannya.

Setelah dirasa cukup dia pun memberi laporan pada Pak Dahlan. “Zheng zheng zheng (mandarin mode on lagi),” katanya pada Pak Dahlan.

Usai mendengar laporan Robert Lai, pak Dahlan lgsg beranjak dr kursinya. Dengan menepuk pundak, dia bertanya berapa usia saya saat itu.

“Jadi begini, menurut Mr Robert ini kondisi peredaran darah Anda tidak terlalu baik. Banyak lemak di sana. Anda masih muda. Kalau tidak dijaga, 10 tahun lagi Anda akan meninggal,” kata Pak Dahlan.

Blarrr…

Tiba2 hari santai saya jadi aneh.
Sebagai org yg sadar bgt punya banyak dosa, saya ya jiper juga dengar kabar itu.

Apalagi baru setahun sebelumnya, ayah saya tercinta pergi selama-lamanya.

Bayangan bakal ninggal Mami itulah yg saya khawatirkan. “Nanti siapa yg jaga mami ya?” pikir saya saat itu.

Melihat perubahan mimik wajah saya, Pak Dahlan menepuk pundak. “Jangan takut akan vonis manusia. Anda masih beruntung 10 tahun, saya pernah divonis 6 bulan akan meninggal. Nyatanya saya masih di sini skrg,” katanya menghibur.

Mendapat dorongan seperti itu saya kuat. Ahh, siapapula Robert itu, baru kenal sudah berani memvonis org. Nggak main2, vonisnya mati lagi. “Kampret,” batin saya yg tiba2 sebel banget ngeliat tuh muka Robert.

Oleh Pak Dahlan, saya diberi ramuan khusus. “Setiap hari, Anda harus minum jus pare. Jangan dirasa pahitnya. Itu bagus untuk tubuh. Bijinya dibuang dulu ya,” pesannya.

Mulai sejak itu, saya rutin minum jus pare. Setiap pagi, mami tercinta sudah ke pasar untuk belanja pare segar dan membuatkan jus untuk saya. Ya, badan memang terasa segar. Sayang, kini saya sudah berhenti mengonsumsi.

Nah, berbicara ttg Pak Dahlan, memang selalu menyisakan kebaikan. Beliau senantiasa peduli pada banyak org. Termasuk saya, yang apalah, hanya debu-debu pinggir jalan.

Jd, membayangkan vonis hakim yg “hanya” dua tahun tentu tak akan membuat Pak Dahlan gentar. Wong di atas itu semua beliau pernah mendapat vonis yg lebih menakutkan : 6 bulan lagi akan meninggal!.

Indonesia tahu bagaimana yg sebenarnya, Pak.
Tetap kuat Pak Dahlan! Seperti yg bapak ucapkan di lift Graha Pena tak lama dr pertemuan pertama itu. “Jus parenya tetap diminum kan? Tetap kuat ya.”
